My Story

Growing up with Italian parents certainly set the stage for living a “natural lifestyle.” My grandmother’s “old country” remedies were revisited for everything from the common cold to headaches and everything in between.
I was fortunate that my parents used chiropractic care and I was exposed at a young age. It was a high school football injury that set me on my journey towards becoming a chiropractor. When traditional medical care was unable to help, it was chiropractic care that enabled me to fully recover from my injuries. I experienced fewer colds and flu, and overall better health, while seeing the chiropractor regularly. This truly peeked my interest in chiropractic.
While studying Human Kinetics in university, much of my spare time was spent volunteering in a chiropractic office and the university sports injury clinic. It was this exposure that confirmed my dreams of becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic.
My philosophy of health is one that encompasses the whole person. I strongly believe in the connection between mind and body. My private practice is centered on patient education aimed at fostering an optimal picture of health for the whole family. Working from a holistic paradigm, I consider the physical, chemical and emotional aspects of all my patients.
I believe alone or in combination, imbalance in these factors can lead to illness within an individual.
As founder of Inner Balance Chiropractic Centre, I have realized my dream of creating a multidisciplinary health care centre. As a team, we strive to provide the highest quality of health care possible. I remain current on new developments within the healthcare world by attending conferences regularly. Some areas of special interest to me include Temperomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJ), Nutrition, Applied Kinesiology, Myofascial Release Techniques, and Chiropractic Pediatrics. I have attained certification in The Webster Technique. This technique is highly effective in caring for pregnant women throughout all stages of pregnancy.
In my spare time, I enjoy time spent with family and friends. Regular exercise is an extremely important part of my life as it helps keep me healthy. I really enjoy the outdoors; golf, fishing, and water skiing. Cottage country makes me happy! My daughters keep me busy with their sports and active lives. We enjoy travel as a family when we have the chance.
Striving to be an example to my patients I try to “balance” life’s demands. I am grateful for the opportunity to share chiropractic with you!
